When I designed this it was more about me, and my interpretation Tori. Artist create first for themselves and designers design for the masses. The Artist and Designer are the same. 

The separation occurs when an emotional connection is attached to a piece of art.  Once that happens. A logo is no longer just a logo, Product design is no longer just, product design. Each design becomes a piece of art.

So, this is me putting my most heartfelt piece of art into the world. Also, my mental pep talk I give myslef when I'm skteching or pushing pixels. 

 

Do what you love. Love what you do. 

 Create something daily. 

Be bold in your designs. 

Know when to break the rules, and when not to. 

Don’t be different just to be different. 

When you see the crowd moving in the same direction. STOP+ PIVOT! Then do the opposite.

Just put your work out there some will like it some won’t. Who cares. Just do stop!

Against the grain or More of the same?

Your family and friends will cheer and applaud you right over a cliff when you settle for "Normal" job or business venture.  As soon as you step out of your comfort zone and into a success or against the grain mindset.  They will come at you with everything and aim a bunker buster missile right at very the foundation of your goals and dreams. If, you listen to them and take their advice. Make sure that they are the going to be paying your bills too!

"Stop trying to get approval from others. You don't need it. The constant comparing of yourself to someone else and their gifts is self -sabotage. You are uniquely you. God has given each one of us all unique gift and ability. You can choose to see them and use them or ignore them and loose them. For every door that closes in your life, another one opens.  You have to walk through it.
